Collecting Electrode ESP

The ESP collecting electrode (collecting plate) and the discharge electrode are both the most crucial components of an electrostatic precipitator (ESP). The primary function of the collecting electrode is to establish a stable and uniform electrostatic field and to adsorb negatively charged dust particles. Under the influence of the electric field, the dust migrates to the surface of the collecting electrode and is removed through rapping or sonic cleaning, eventually falling into the ash hopper.

As a professional manufacturer of industrial dust removal equipment, our ESP collecting electrodes are designed with a high-strength integral structure, featuring uniform discharge, strong rigidity, and high dust removal efficiency. They are widely used in industries such as power generation, metallurgy, cement, chemical engineering, waste incineration, and boiler flue gas treatment.

Collecting Plate ESP

Wave-shaped ESP collecting plate

The corrugated dust collection plate, due to its stable structure, large specific surface area and moderate manufacturing cost, is known as a universal high-performance electrode plate. Currently, it accounts for over 70% of the market share in industries such as thermal power, cement, steel, chemical engineering, and electric boilers.

  • High dust removal efficiency
  • Good vibration and cleaning effect
  • Strong adaptability
  • Moderate cost and high cost-effectiveness
Collecting Electrode ESP

Honeycomb ESP collecting electrode

The honeycomb electrode plates have seen the fastest sales growth in recent years and are regarded as a high-end environmental protection solution. Their key feature is the formation of a fully enclosed hexagonal electric field channel, which ensures a more stable air flow distribution. They are the preferred choice for industries such as waste incineration and new cement lines.

  • Superior dust removal efficiency.
  • Better performance for high specific resistance dust.
  • Long-lasting and less prone to deformation, with a longer service life.

wide application of ESP Collecting Electrode

cement INDUSTRY

The cement industry mainly deals with the exhaust gas produced by rotary kilns and dryers, which has a high dust concentration and contains alkaline substances.

Requirements: resistance to wear, adaptability to medium temperatures, and resistance to alkaline corrosion.

Material: carbon steel, aluminized steel, etc.

Power Industry

The power industry is the largest application field for electrostatic precipitators, mainly dealing with the exhaust gas produced by coal-fired boilers.

Requirements: high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and ability to handle dust with high specific resistance.

Material: ordinary carbon steel (such as Q235).

metallurgyapplication

Non-ferrous Metal Industry

The flue gas from non-ferrous metal smelting is complex in composition, highly corrosive, and has large temperature fluctuations.

Requirements: Strong corrosion resistance, ability to withstand high and low temperature impacts.

Material: stainless steel (such as 304, 316L), heat-resistant alloy steel plates.

Waste Incineration Industry

The waste incineration smoke contains extremely complex components, including HCl, SOx, heavy metals (such as Hg, Pb), and is at a relatively low temperature (usually 180-220℃).

Requirements: extremely strong corrosion resistance, prevention of heavy metal adhesion.

Material: titanium alloy plates, enamel steel plates, or nickel-based alloy plates.

The FAQ of ESP Collecting Electrode

Q1: Can the collecting electrode be customized? What is the range of customization?

Customization is available. Regular customization includes Plate thickness, Height, Waveforms, Material, Surface treatment. We can produce a 1:1 replica based on the customer’s old electrostatic precipitator drawings.

Q2: How is the collecting electrode transported? Is there a risk of deformation?

The height of the collecting electrode transportation requires high resistance to deformation. We support multiple transportation ways.

Q3: How can I determine if the collecting electrodes of my electrostatic precipitator need to be replaced?

If any of the following situations occur, it can basically be confirmed that a replacement is needed:

  • Sudden increase or instability in emissions
  • The ash accumulation on the back plate is still very thick after rapping.
  • The power supply ripple rate increases, and the electric field voltage cannot rise.
  • The operating wind pressure of the equipment is rising.
  • Plate deformation, corrosion and cracking
  • The operating current of the electric field has decreased significantly.

We can offer video diagnosis or on-site inspection.

Q4: Do you support overseas export? What is the packaging method?

Support, Moisture-proof packaging, Metal frame fixation, Export wooden pallets, European or American standard binding method, Full container, bulk or LCL shipment can be provided.
