What Is a Dust Collector Venturi?

A dust collector venturi is a component installed at the top of a filter bag and filter cage assembly in a pulse jet baghouse. It works together with the blow pipe and compressed-air cleaning system to direct cleaning airflow into the filter bag.

The design and dimensions of the venturi need to match the filter bag, blow pipe, and overall dust collector configuration. Therefore, selecting a properly sized dust collector venturi tube is important when replacing existing components or modifying a pulse jet cleaning system.

During the pulse cleaning process, compressed air is released through the blow pipe and passes through the venturi. The venturi helps guide and accelerate the cleaning airflow, allowing the pulse of air to effectively enter the filter bag and remove accumulated dust from the filter surface.
