Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks are a new type of building wall material made from raw materials such as sand, cement, gypsum, lime, and aluminum paste through a series of processes.
AAC blocks (ALC panels) can be produced using different process methods based on the types of raw materials, their quality, and the process characteristics of the AAC block making machines.
The design and configuration of an AAC plant vary depending on the production scale, process requirements, and real needs of clients. By using these AAC block making machines, the raw materials go through a series of processes including mixing, autoclaving, curing, cutting, and packaging, resulting in the production of AAC block with advantages of lightweight, high strength, insulation, soundproofing, and fire resistance.
A complete AAC block manufacturing plant includes a variety of aac block machines, such as autoclaves, ball mill, overturning machines, jaw crushers, belt conveyors, bucket elevators, cutting machines, pallet wrapper, and other related auxiliary equipment.
(NOTE: ALC panel making machines is basically similar to AAC block making machines, if you have need of ALC panel making machinery, contact directly and get specific introduction.)
Industrial autoclave

An industrial autoclave, also known as an industrial sterilizer, it is the core equipment used in the AAC blocks plant. The vessel cover of the autoclave adopts a toothed quick-opening structure and can be operated manually, electrically, pneumatically, or hydraulically driven, with the function of opening and closing the safety interlock.
Main function: High-temperature and high-pressure steam curing of cut AAC block bodies.
Screw conveyor

The screw conveyor is a key equipment that connects the raw material silos (cement silo, lime silo). Each AAC block production line usually requires three screw conveyors for conveying cement, powdered lime, and pre-weighed dry powder from the batching tank to the pouring vehicle.
Main function: High-temperature and high-pressure steam curing of cut AAC block bodies.
Jaw crusher

The jaw crusher is mainly used for medium and fine crushing of various ores and large-sized materials. The compressive strength of the crushed material is 2000 kg/square centimeter. It can crush materials with a compressive strength of up to 320 MPa.
Main function: Crush raw limestone blocks to meet the feed size requirements of the ball mill for fine grinding.
Ball mill

The ball mill grind materials after they have been crushed. It is widely used for grinding various ores and other materials in the mining, building materials, and chemical industries.
Main function: Grinding lime blocks into fine powder, grinding fly ash slurry to remove coarse particles, grinding sand in mortar to remove coarse particles.
Bucket elevator

In an AAC block production line, at least two bucket elevators are usually required: one for lifting and conveying crushed limestone granules and one for lifting and conveying powdered lime.
Main function: Lift and transport crushed limestone or powdered lime to the silo.
Tilting cutting machine

The tilting cutting machine uses a flipping device to flip the mold in the air by 90 degrees, then places the blank together with the mold side plates on the cutting trolley. The cutting trolley is pulled by a hoist and moves forward, completing the longitudinal cutting of the traveling blank (the blank is fixed on the cutting table). After the longitudinal cutting is completed, the cutting trolley stops at the cross-cutting position, and the cross-cutting device starts. The cross-cutting frame swings vertically downward to cut the blank. After the cutting is completed, the cutting frame rises and resets, completing the cutting of the blank. The cutting trolley continues to move to the appropriate position and stops, waiting for the semi-finished product hoist to lift the blank.
Main function: Cut the six sides of the demolded blank into the required size of AAC blocks.
Tilting hoister

The tilting hoister is an integral part of AAC equipment. The tilting hoister rotates the blank (with the mold) in the air by 90 degrees, lifts and places it on the cutting trolley, and allows cutting after demolding. Additionally, the demolded mold frames and the returning side plates are assembled, lifted, and transported to the casting line for recycling casting.
Main function: Flip the prepared cut block blank by 90 degrees and position it on the cutting trolley.
Semi-finished product hoister

The semi-finished product hoister is mainly used to lift the blank after cutting and place it on the steam curing trolley for grouping and entry into the autoclave. In some AAC production lines, an empty flipping device is installed on the finished product hoist. Before using the semi-finished product hoister to lift the blank, the blank is flipped and peeled. Then, the blank is lifted and placed on the steam curing trolley. Besides lifting the blank, the semi-finished product hoister is also used to lift the side plates and the steam curing car.
Main function: Transport and position the blank, side plates, and steam curing car. When equipped with a flipping and peeling device, it can flip and peel the blank.
Mold frame and side plates

They are important equipment for the solidification and shaping of AAC blocks. The molds generally require characteristics such as good rigidity, good insulation, and resistance to slurry leakage. The molds frame can be in the form of movable or integral structures. The side plates are the main equipment for carrying the blank for flipping, cutting, and transportation. The combination of molds and side plates can hold the poured slurry and allow it to foam and solidify into AAC blocks.
Main function: The molds are used to hold the poured slurry and allow it to foam and solidify. The side plates carry the blank for cutting, stacking, and steam curing.
Steam curing trolley

Also known as a steam curing car or steam curing small car, it is a specialized transport vehicle used in the AAC production process to adapt to the high-temperature and high-pressure steam curing environment inside the autoclave.
Main function: It is a carrier for transporting the blank and side plates into and out of the autoclave.
Pouring vehicle

pouring machine or pouring mixer, the structure and mixer design of the pouring machine can vary depending on the different raw materials and production processes. The pouring machine is used to mix and pour slurry, cement, lime, gypsum, and aluminum paste suspension into the molds according to a certain ratio. The pouring machine ensures the uniform mixing and full reaction of the materials, and it can pour the mixture into the molds efficiently. Some pouring machines are equipped with adjustable pouring arms to adjust the height during pouring to prevent splashing.
Main function: It is a carrier for transporting the blank and side plates into and out of the autoclave.
Trommel screener

The trommel screener or rotary drum screen is used for material classification in terms of size, separating soil and fine powder. It is commonly used in sand and gravel yards for sand and gravel separation. In AAC block production lines, it is mainly used to sieve coal ash or sand to remove relatively large particles and impurities.
Main function: Pre-filtering of raw materials before processing. Separates unbroken bulk materials and impurities to ensure the quality of blocks
Dust collector

Baghouse dust collectors is generally used in AAC plants. Some working areas in the AAC block plant with high dust concentration require the use of dust collectors.
Main function: Dust collection during the processes of crushing limestone, grinding lime, screening coal ash, and storing bulk lime. It ensures environmental protection and safeguards the health of on-site workers.
Clamping hoist

The brick clamp machine is special equipment for large-scale AAC block production lines. It can greatly save labor, material, and financial resources, and improve production efficiency. We provide a complete set of equipment and after-sales service. If you have a forklift, we can provide free modification services for the brick clamp machine.
Main function: Used for loading and stacking AAC blocks.
Separator

The separator is used to mechanically separate and stack the hardened AAC blocks layer by layer. It is installed at the end of the AAC block production line. The machine automatically performs the brick-turning process, simplifying the operation and maintenance. It is not only suitable for the production of AAC blocks but also for AlC panels. It can perform six-sided cutting on the blocks, simplifying the workstations and facilitating operation and maintenance.
Main function: Separate the hardened AAC blocks that are bonded together and stack them for further processing.
Slurry tank and agitator

The slurry tank is generally made of welded steel plates in a cylindrical shape and has a large capacity. The slurry tank is used to store the well-prepared fly ash slurry or mortar, making it convenient for slurry mixing and pouring. The slurry tank agitator operates at a low speed, which effectively ensures the uniform mixing of materials and prevents solid particles that are insoluble in water from settling or segregating, avoiding blockage.
Main function: Prevent slurry segregation or settling, improve product quality, and enhance work efficiency through continuous agitation.
These are some of the essential facilities and AAC block machinery used in the production of AAC blocks. Other AAC block machines such as vacuum suction hood, packaging machines, coding machines, slurry metering tanks, dry powder metering tanks, slurry stirring, tail grinding, metering pool stirring, slurry storage tank stirring, waste slurry tank stirring, circulation pool stirring, transfer pit pool stirring, metering slurry pumps, circulation pumps, waste slurry pumps, liquid slag pumps, bulk ash storage, bulk ash silos, head silos, tail silos, cement silos, steam pipe networks, industrial water pipe networks, high-pressure air pipe networks, etc., are also used in the production process.
Please note that the specific AAC block making machines and processes may vary depending on the AAC block manufacturing plant and the manufacturer’s specifications.
